Webtoon is a world leader in digital entertainment with over 50 million unique monthly readers. We’re looking for the next generation of creative professionals to join us for a 9-12-week immersive internship where you gain hands-on experience in Film and Television Development at WEBTOON'S Los Angeles headquarters.

This internship is open to both students (undergrad and graduate) and recent graduates. We are interested in creative professionals from a variety of disciplines including (but not limited to) fine art, television, animation, and games.

This is a paid-internship.

Summer May - September


    • Perform critical analysis on web-comics, books, and screenplays
    • Research projects for potential film/TV development and adaptation
    • Direct interface with Film and Television Development Executives
    • Create and provide pitch materials for existing Webtoon series
    • Update and organize department databases
    • Contribute meaningfully to story development and writing meetings
    • Stay current on industry trades, trends, and events
    • General writing and development tasks


    • Must be a junior, senior, graduate student, or recent graduate in an accredited program
    • A love of comics and eagerness to learn
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication
    • Strong interest in and knowledge of popular culture and current trends
    • Be able to be in the office for 30-35 hours/week for 9-12 weeks

Preferred Qualifications

    • Script coverage experience
    • Familiarity with comics, and especially with Webtoon
    • Tech savy, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite
    • Screenwriting and/or creative writing experience
